The model development started from the 10th week. The structural skin is the first part of the building which I made. Every week, I came up making the first floor, second floor and other additional structure outside the building. There are couple of things to do to finish the model, which are the contours for the model's base and the jogging track.

DESIGN RELATION TO THE SITE

The access from the surrounding is described at the picture. The point to have this building at the site, is to connect different areas, and create shortcut, so that the HSW site can also be the core area to go from one to another area.

Looking at sporting centres for Brisbane, which is becoming the symbol of sport in Brisbane, hopefully this sport center can be determined as an icon for the city for upcoming times. The sport center can be the symbol of modern ideas of Brisbane to reach its plan for being healthy and vibrant city.

BUILDING BREAKDOWN

From the building, i breakdown it in order to communicate the design tectonic and the materials. The built area made to provide the activity of the sport center.

The first skin is the structural skin that made from steel. and create the sense of parasitic and stiffness of the building. The second skin, is the fulfilling materials for the structural skin. I put the glass in order to get daylighting from the site. The corrugated metal also used in order to give lighter weight to the structure while maintaining it into ventilation for the building.

SPACE VIEWS

My design intention is combining both stiffness dimension of sporting area into more likely to be active and fluid sensation. I tend to create people to experience height, just like the one i developed in my folie. The jogging track is the feature that become my parameter in this building. People can experience the new path for jog, while exploring the HSW area.

DESIGN PROPOSAL

Those are the perspectives i proposed for the design. In this design, i am trying to get its strong and active combination and make it grows out parasitically. The point parameter is that i am using the parasitic phase i developed my design intention for the sport center building, while creating active and fluid space for the people.
